RCA Member Liability Coverage Registration

Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) provides its members, that are associated with a registered rowing club, with liability insurance coverage for certain activities associated with rowing.

Each person enrolled in any program at the Salt Spring Rowing Club must register online with RCA for insurance purposes.

Post registration, a Salt Spring Island Rowing Club administrator will activate the registered rower to complete the process. Once activated, the rower is insured.

ATTENTION PARENTS & guardians registering YOUNG ATHLETEs

If you are signing up a young athlete for a rowing program, please register the youth who is taking the course. The name and personal information you enter when registering with Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) must match the person who will be on the water—not you.

To register with RCA for new members

Step 1

Access the RCA website: https://membership.rowingcanada.org

(click the link)

Step 2

Select Create Account Now

Step 3

Select My Account

Step 4

Enter your personal information…then select Continue

Step 5

Enter your contact details

Step 6

Select a user name and password. (Document this information in your records for future use)

Step 7

Select Join a Program

Step 8

Select Province/State (British Columbia) and Organization (Saltspring Island Rowing Club) to display the list of available programs. Select the applicable program.

For ALL Learn-to-row courses:

Youth & Adult select Learn to Row program for the current year

For ALL Adult Memberships including all drop-in programs:

select 'Adult (19+) Rowing Program' for the current year

For winter indoor (erg) programs:

select 'indoor Rowing Program' for the current year

Etc.

Please note that the cost for insurance registration is included in the program fee and no additional fees are required. Do NOT provide any payment on the RCA website.
